Child arrangements in England and Wales
Child arrangements is a term used to describe how you and your child’s daily life will be after your separation. In most cases those arrangements will not stay the same, mostly because your child will not be living with both of you under the same roof.
In the English law there is an assumption that a child has the right to see both his/her parent equally, but the final arrangements will be determined on a case-by-case basis. Therefore, it is important that a legal professional assess your situation and tell you what can happen in your case. We have vast experience with different situations of parents so are able to do that.
We recognise that the separation process can be distressing for both parents and children and we endeavour to finalise custody arrangements in the shortest possible time so this process will be as gentle and painless as possible.
We believe that every parent wants the best for their child and that minimising arguments can help all the family. Children are our priority during the separation process. We make sure that their rights and benefits are maintained, and their opinions given the backing they deserve, while also limiting exposure to distressing or confrontational interactions.
However, if that is not possible and you find yourself having to go to court, we will advise and support you through the process of court proceedings and represent you strongly to achieve the best result.
